Niagara Falls is a 47.5-metre waterfall located within Goldstream Provincial Park, approximately 20 km northwest of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Not to be confused with the famous Niagara Falls in Ontario, this BC waterfall is a hidden gem in a lush coastal rainforest setting.
From Victoria, take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) north for about 20 minutes. Park in the day-use parking lot on the west side of the highway. Follow the wide gravel trail northward (away from the picnic area) for approximately 5 minutes to reach the waterfall viewing area.
The trail is very short—only about 5 minutes one-way from the parking lot. It's an easy, beginner-friendly walk suitable for all ages and fitness levels. The path is relatively flat and well-maintained.

Swimming is not recommended at the base of the falls due to the rocky terrain and cold water. The viewing area is at a distance from the falls for safety reasons. If you want to cool off, there are some sections of the Goldstream River near the campground suitable for wading.
The trail to Niagara Falls is relatively flat and wide, making it accessible for mobility devices on dry days. However, the path can be uneven and muddy after rain. Check conditions before visiting if accessibility is a concern.
