Catching The Last Of Snow At Ammonite Falls

Photographing a Winter Scene of Nanaimo's Iconic Waterfall Before The Snow Melts

This Day Trip Features:

An Overview

Being so close to the coast mid island, we only get a few snowfalls that actually stick. And when they do, it may only be a couple days or even a couple hours.

Depending the forecast, and how much time we have to give, I’ll pick a place worth seeing in the snow. When this storm first fell two days earlier, I only had a couple hours of time so Piper’s Lagoon was my best option. (Checkout Winters First Snow at Piper’s Lagoon)

But after the snow first fell, the clock begins to tick and today was the last chance for us to venture out together and see one of our favorite local spots in the snow – Ammonite Falls.
