The Oyster River Potholes are one of those Hidden right under your nose spots on Vancouver Island.

In fact I’ve driven over it so many times before I finally had a chance to spot and see if it lived up to the murmurs of how incredible a hidden gem it was.

With a full day ahead of us we made great time getting out of the house and on the road with a toddler, so the questionable pitstop turned into a definite destination for the late morning.

We originally planned to see the upper potholes but a Mosiac gate guard restricted road access and turned us around heading southbound on the highway.

We arrived with next to no cars parked

See You Out There...
