An Overlanding Adventure To Bamfield

Dipping our toes into the wild world of overlanding with a toddler, we set out on a 3 day mini adventure to a place we’ve been talking for a while now.

Bamfield is a place the locals rave about but almost no-one else has ever heard. Probably because the road from Port Alberni wasn’t chip sealed until last summer. While that makes it more accessible for anyone on the island, we decided to take the more adventurous route, through Lake Cowichan. The road turns to dirt before we reach the end of Cowichan Lake but VIO’s Nissan Frontier Rig doesn’t even blink at the potholes no matter the weather.
