Important

The Pacific herring spawn is one of the most remarkable wildlife events on Canada's west coast - but it is also one of the most ecologically sensitive. The spawn is a critical moment in the marine food web, fueling the survival of whales, sea lions, eagles, and countless other species that depend on it. Your choices as a visitor directly affect the health of this ecosystem.
